Who Am I?

Dr. Mark M. Overstreet serves as vice president at Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. Also, he serves as assistant professor of communication and leadership.  His primary interests include missions, preaching, teaching, and leadership. After completing his undergraduate degree in medical biology, he pursued a life in medicine.  While awaiting entrance to medical school, he worked at the hospital and in surgery with a team of orthopedic surgeons. From there, God called him from medicine to ministry.

While completing his masters and doctor of philosophy degrees in biblical studies and theology, Dr. Overstreet taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has traveled throughout the Middle East on a scholastic seminar. Additionally, he remains committed to local and international missions, reaching four continents with the gospel.

Dr. Overstreet preaches, teaches, and writes in several areas of interest, including practical and current issues with answers found in God’s Word. He enjoys biblical and practical engagement in the arenas of understanding life, culture, politics, and current world events. He has published numerous articles, chapters, and presented papers and moderated sessions at conferences around the country, including the Evangelical Theological Society and the Evangelical Homiletics Society.
