Where did all the men go in my church? October 7, 2006

For years, western churches have emasculated worship in word and song, preaching,  and created a generally effeminate approach to bible study (Sunday School) from toddlers to teens and on into adulthood.  In this article (here), the author observes the numbers and analyzes possible explanations.  Beyond looking to the dating scene, he should probably add and evaluation of SS curricula and children’s bible study activities–and that’s only the beginning.  For starters, someone could follow the model of Titus and teach girls to be women and boys to be men.  That process begins in the cradle and moves through highschool and beyond.

Thanks for this post. I recommend David Murrow’s “Why Men Hate Going to Church.”
